We left Liliana and Celeo today and successfully, but slowly, made the drive down to Roseburg, where my Dad and Romeni live. We had breakfast in Seattle with Uncle Mike and stopped off in Woodenville (I think that's it!) for some shopping at the Oregon outlets.
We were sad to say goodbye to little Jack (the monkey - as dubbed by mama Liliana). Fortunately, Reina learned a lot from Jack, as exemplified: how to "hang" from a rope, how to sport the naked look, and how to chew in the bathtub. Jack also learned how to kiss Reina on command and it was exciting for us to witness Jacks first unassisted steps. Well, sort-of. Jack had been walking, but hadn't been brave enough to do it on his own unprovoked. So yesterday he made several lone treks across the living-room; he was of course showing off to little Reina who can't seem to get enough of him. Reina was easy to entertain with Jack around, as it seemed that whatever he was doing was the most interesting thing going on!
Looking ahead: we will be spending the next week with Granddad and Romeni in Oregon before we head home to Oki on Friday.
Awe, Reina is learning so much, and Jack is such a cutie! I wish Zane and Reina had more time together, I'm sure she would learn a ton from him!
